CocoCoast Sydney Film Festival support played a small but meaningful role in helping the arts community rebuild after lockdown

CocoCoast Supports the Sydney Film Festival

In the wake of NSW’s extended COVID lockdowns — and as cinemas finally reopened in late 2021 — CocoCoast chose to show up for an industry that needed a hand. We were proud to support the Sydney Film Festival, held 3–14 November 2021, during its long-awaited return to the big screen.

The Festival has always been a celebration of bold storytelling, creativity, and culture. After months of shuttered cinemas and paused productions, 2021 marked a genuine moment of revival for the arts community. Supporting the Festival was our way of backing the people who bring stories, ideas, and imagination to life.

Why We Chose to Support the Arts

CocoCoast has always believed in doing what feels right for the community. When the industry was still recovering from lockdowns, artists, filmmakers, performers, and the teams behind them were rebuilding — audience by audience, screening by screening. Our contribution wasn’t a commercial partnership; it was a gesture of support.

A Small Gesture With Heart

There was no long-term program. No major campaign. It was simply the right moment to help rebuild something Australians love — shared stories, shared culture, and the magic of cinema.

CocoCoast is passionate about creativity, craft, and community, and in 2021, that meant helping the arts find their feet again.
