CocoCoast Accelerates Green Initiatives with Carbon Neutral Green Partnership
At CocoCoast, we are dedicated to not only delivering delicious, all-natural coconut water but also to ensuring that our business practices support and enhance environmental sustainability. Today, we are thrilled to announce that we have chosen Carbon Neutral (carbonneutral.com.au) as our partner in our journey towards a more sustainable future. Additionally, we are highlighting our ongoing commitment to the Australian Container Deposit Scheme (CDS).
Choosing Carbon Neutral
We are excited to share that CocoCoast has selected Carbon Neutral, a leading carbon offset provider in Australia, to help us advance our sustainability efforts. This decision reflects our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and supporting vital environmental projects.
Supporting Biodiverse Reforestation:
As part of our collaboration with Carbon Neutral, CocoCoast has contributed 400 native trees and shrubs to the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. This initiative is Australia’s largest biodiverse reforestation carbon sink, and it plays a critical role in sequestering carbon and restoring habitats. Our contribution will help to rejuvenate ecosystems, support biodiversity, and combat climate change.
Offsetting CO2 Emissions:
We are pleased to announce that CocoCoast has offset the operational business of CO2-e emissions through the permanent retirement of Verra VCU – Madre de Dios Avoided Deforestation project in Peru. This effort demonstrates our commitment to making a tangible difference in the fight against climate change and protecting our planet for future generations.
Carbon Neutral’s comprehensive suite of services includes carbon credits from both local and international projects, plant-a-tree products, carbon footprint consultancy, and more. By partnering with Carbon Neutral, we are taking significant strides in our sustainability journey.
Commitment to the Australian Container Deposit Scheme
Since the inception of the Australian Container Deposit Scheme, CocoCoast has heavily invested in this program to promote recycling and reduce waste. Over $2,000,000.00AUD has been contributed by CocoCoast up until 23/24 financial year.
The CDS is an essential part of Australia’s environmental management strategy, aimed at increasing recycling rates, reducing litter, and supporting a circular economy.
Our investment in the CDS reflects our dedication to environmental stewardship. By participating in this scheme, we ensure that our products contribute to a cleaner, greener Australia. We believe in the importance of taking responsibility for the lifecycle of our packaging and encouraging our customers to recycle.
Collaboration Towards the EU Sustainable Development Goals
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, CocoCoast is also working on an exciting new collaboration aimed at meeting the European Union’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Established in 2015 as part of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the SDGs are a global pledge to eradicate poverty, ensure inclusive and sustainable development, and protect human rights. There are 17 SDGs, encompassing 169 targets that address the world’s most pressing challenges.
The EU has been a leading global partner in achieving these goals, providing significant official development assistance and rolling out strategies like Global Gateway for sustainable investments in infrastructure. These efforts directly contribute to various interconnected SDGs, particularly through investments in transport, energy, digital infrastructure, health, and education.

As a team we commit to never using plastic straws or cups for trade events, we have LED lighting in our offices, we carpool at every opportunity, we recycle, minimising printing by screen sharing, buy local, use natural cleaning products within our office, unplug devices when not in use, encourage waste free Wednesdays as team initiatives and do our best to stay informed about environmental issues.
